    VREF has commissioned position papers within 5 of the 6 core themes. The purpose of these papers is to provide an overview of current knowledge on issues related to mobility and access in Sub-Saharan African (SSA) cities, as well as to inform VREF and researchers in Sub-Saharan Africa in developing a research agenda in this area.

  • Transport and Social Exclusion in five African Cities - a report produced by INTALInC and supported by VREF
    This report is a scoping study of the transport conditions and experiences of people and communities living at the margins of Africa’s burgeoning cities, and is established with the participation of African partner organisations and local communities. Across five case studies, the authors have focused on the needs of the majority people who are living on or below the poverty threshold for their country.
